Reid Announces Glendon Plans: "Glendon College is going to be an undergraduate, residential, co-educational, liberal arts college of York University...Primary emphasis will be put on the acquisition of skill in the use and appreciation of the English and French languages." Glendon College "will be born" on July 1st, 1966. Glendon to begin with will not be a bilingual college, however before Glendon College is ten years old I hope it will be trulv bilingual in the sense that English and French will at least in the 3rd and 4th years, have equal status as language of instruction and of examination."
