Abstract

Letter: "Down with communism" Pro-American, anti-communist, heavily rhetorical, "there can be no peace as long as such a system as Communism is allowed to flourish..." Explanation of York financial system: 3.5 mil. to run York - 2.25 mile from province, $730 500 tuition. Tuition fees $500+$50 activity fee. Provincial grant $1540 per head. Activity fee - $20 to S.C. ($26 800 budget in 65-66), athletic directorate $20, $10 for health services. Residence fees $815. %27 to financing, %29 to operating and maintenance and %44 to food services. The province granted $1400 per bed to build Wood Residence, %20 of the cost, the university matched the %20, and the remaining %60 was financed with a 50 year C.M.H.C. mortgage at 5 3/8 per cent interest.
